Brand & Corporate Identity

DICOTA is the ideal partner for branded corporate identity solutions: customized bags, backpacks and sleeves turn device protection into a visible brand experience — creating higher-margin business with HR, marketing and management stakeholders.

Current situation& market opportunity

Corporate identity is a topic that extends far beyond traditional IT accessories – and that is precisely why it is so strategically valuable. When a company places its logo on a laptop case or an employee’s rucksack, it is no longer simply about product protection. It is about the brand message, employee pride and corporate culture.

For resellers, brand and corporate identity are the key to opening doors to new contacts – in marketing, HR and senior management – and to a margin model that differs fundamentally from the commodity business. Once you have embedded a branded product within a customer’s corporate culture, you have established a supplier relationship that cannot be undone by a simple price comparison.

CASE STUDIES IN DETAIL

EMPLOYEE ONBOARDING – FIRST IMPRESSIONS COUNT

The onboarding kit is one of the most significant touchpoints in the employee experience. What a new employee receives on their first day has a lasting impact on their perception of the company. A high-quality, branded bag or case featuring the company logo sends a clear message: This company invests in its staff; it has high standards of quality and consistency.

For resellers, this is a business model that repeats automatically with every new hire. If the branded onboarding kit is part of the standard process, there is a guaranteed order for every new employee – no need for acquisition, no pitching, no competition.

SALES & FIELD STAFF – BRAND AMBASSADORS IN THE FIELD

Field staff, consultants and sales teams are a company’s most visible representatives when dealing with customers. What they wear and carry forms part of the professional impression they make. A uniform, branded bag or case signals: this company has standards – and adheres to them.

For many companies, this is also a security issue: if 50 field staff members carry the same branded case, it is immediately clear at a glance who belongs to the team and who does not. In security-sensitive environments, this is a practical benefit, not merely an aesthetic consideration.

EVENTS & TRADE FAIRS – MERCHANDISE WITH ADDED VALUE

Trade fair appearances and corporate events are classic occasions for branded merchandise. The challenge is that most merchandise items – pens, notebooks, water bottles – end up in a cupboard or are thrown away after a short time. A high-quality laptop sleeve or a branded rucksack has a different lifespan: it is used every day, is visible and regularly reminds the wearer of the brand.

For resellers, this is a selling point when dealing with marketing managers: ‘The DICOTA sleeve costs more than a pen – but your customers use it every day and see your logo every time. This is measurably more effective than traditional event merchandise.’

CORPORATE ROLL-OUT – ONE ORDER, GLOBAL PRESENCE

Large corporations with global offices standardise their equipment worldwide – including accessories. If a company with 10,000 employees decides that all laptops should have the same branded case, that represents an order for 10,000 units – and potentially a recurring annual order due to new hires and device replacements.

DICOTA has the production capacity for such high-volume orders and the experience in global delivery. For resellers managing such accounts, this is a strategic selling point: “I have a partner who can produce 10,000 customised cases and deliver them worldwide – within the agreed lead time and to a consistent standard of quality.”

DICOTA Approach

THE CUSTOMIZATION PROCESS – CLEAR AND LOW-RISK

Many resellers shy away from the customisation business because they are daunted by its complexity: unclear specifications, production errors, delivery delays. DICOTA has clearly structured this process for its partners and made it low-risk.

Step 1: Briefing

Record the customer’s corporate identity (CI) details (logo file, colours, placement specifications), clarify quantities and delivery timeframe, and define the budget.

Step 2: Sample & Approval

DICOTA creates a digital rendering and – for large orders – a physical sample. Production does not commence without written approval from the customer.

Step 3: Production

Once approved, production begins with defined minimum quantities (typically: from 50–100 units) and a transparent delivery timeframe.

Step 4: Delivery

Option of centralised delivery to the reseller or drop-shipping directly to end-customer locations. For large corporations: storage at DICOTA’s premises and fulfilment on demand.

Profit margin potential

Branded products are generally not listed on price comparison websites – they are exclusive. This means there is no price pressure and no "race to the bottom".
"The price is negotiated on the basis of value, not on the basis of competition. This is the most attractive profit margin model in the entire accessories sector."
